Gate 3D art

Despite my mostly anti-remake stance, I’m looking forward to Alex Winter’s updating of The Gate. The original is one of those films that makes me nostalgic for my younger years, and I think Winter’s the kind of guy who not only understands why the original is revered in cult film circles (and will respect that) but also how to keep the feel of the original film while updating it for a newer audience.

H20 Motion Pictures dropped a veritable truckload of information on last night, including teaser concept art (that’s one photo above), a lengthy synopsis, and most intriguingly, news of HR Giger being involved in the creature design. I shouldn’t have to tell anyone reading this site who Giger is, but just in case you don’t know him he created the monsters in a little film called Alien you might have heard of.

Jump past the break for the lengthy press kit details (giant wall of text ahoy!) and check out more storyboard art here.
