Panabaker Enters The Ward
THR is reporting that actress Danielle Panabaker (who recently appeared in the Friday the 13th reboot) has signed on to star alongside Amber Heard in John Carpenter’s latest project, The Ward.
Panabaker will play a “snobbish girl who flirts with orderlies and faces electroshock therapy” in the psychological thriller.
As far as the rest of the plot goes, “the story follows a girl (Heard) who is admitted to a psychiatric ward, meets other girls there with distinct personalities and discovers a mysterious girl haunting the halls at night.”
The Ward is Carpenter’s first feature film since 2001′s Ghosts of Mars. The director has been relatively quiet over the past few years, but did helm two episodes of Showtime’s Masters of Horror series (including one of the first season’s highlights, Cigarette Burns).
