Stepfather Remake Trailer Now Online
The title says it all. I don’t know if I could be any less interested in a remake of The Stepfather if I tried. I thought the original was a fun little B movie, but this looks like your typical “remake it for the teenager demographic” cash grab that Hollywood loves. It doesn’t look awful–it just looks like every other horror film coming out aimed at the teen market (right down to the safe and predictable PG-13 rating).
Plus, there’s no way in Hell that Dylan Walsh can replace Terry O’Quinn.
Look for The Stepfather to dole out some tough love this October.

I really liked that nasty little movie way back in the day. A gypsy curse couldn’t drag me to see this.

I don’t even know who this Dylan Walsh guys is, but Terry O’Quinn eats his lunch.
And Christopher Meloni is also in this remake. Why wouldn’t they have him playing the title character. He is great at playing psychopaths and may have made this more interesting.
Nah…probably not. This looks like teh suck anyone you slice it.

I believe Walsh is on Nip/Tuck.
